The Problem 

The problem with traditional recruitment methods is that they are often time-consuming, expensive, and inefficient. Recruiters have to sift through stacks of resumes, conduct numerous phone and in-person interviews, and manually track candidate information, which can be a daunting task.   

The goal of designing a recruitment platform is to create a streamlined and automated system that addresses these challenges and helps recruiters and job seekers connect more efficiently. By understanding the problem and identifying the pain points of the traditional recruitment process, we can design a platform that provides a better user experience, saves time and resources, and improves the quality of candidate matching.

We spent 90 minutes with 14 Hiring managers, getting inside their heads and worlds, learning about what matters most to them when it comes to hiring.

We spent time with Insight Global and took a deep dive into the interworkings, and the many steps it takes to craft and fill a req.

The research phase of the UX design process for our B2B recruitment app was a critical component in developing a user-centered platform.  We performed competitive analysis to gain insights into existing recruitment apps and identify opportunities to differentiate ourselves. By collecting and analyzing this data, we were able to develop a deep understanding of our users' needs and behaviors, which informed the design and development of the platform.

These Personas represent fictional individuals created based on research and data, designed to embody the typical characteristics, behaviors, and attitudes of recruiter user group. These personas provide an understanding of the users' needs and expectations, which can then were used to develop user-centric features and functionalities. These personas that represent IG's user base.  Each persona is unique, with distinct goals, challenges, and preferences.

Information Architecture

We attempted to create a clear and concise information architecture that is designed to make it easier for job seekers and employers to navigate the platform. We've organized our content into intuitive categories, such as job type, location, and salary, making it easier for users to filter and refine their search results. Additionally, we've included a robust smart search function that enables users to find specific candidates quickly. A side bar also is a way to store critical features like notifications, Profiles, Dashboards, and messages.

We made several key design decisions that address the user needs and pain points. For example, we've prioritized simplicity and ease of use by incorporating a clean and straightforward interface. This approach makes it easier for job recruiters to navigate the platform and find what they're looking for quickly. We've also included features such as personalized job recommendations, which make it easier for job seekers to find relevant job postings that match their skills and interests. Additionally, we've included a messaging system that enables direct communication between job seekers and employers, reducing the time and effort required to schedule interviews and exchanges.
